ALLOOO! ( this is what we say to everyone we pass on the street.) Cori and I just got home after a very nice long walk. We first went to the store to get a new charge converter because my computer is about to die... but one of the four converters we had must be old and smells like its burning...ugh..not good! so this post may not be very long due to the death of my battery. Anywho- Oh My Gosh germany is UBER AMAZING!!! I love it here! it's absolutely gorgeous and I just can't imagine myself ever leaving ( I'm sure I'll be saying that about every place I see- just as a heads up) So first thing we did was go home from the airport to drop off my suitcase- not even the slightest bit tired so we went ahead and explored mannheim and frankenthal. we went to this great restraunt called Vapiano. Cori got her favorite salad, Silke( Cori's friend) pasta, and I got my coffee :). A "cafe americano" to be exact, and I ordered it!! In german!! "Ich möchte einen schwarzen kaffee."HAHA. that was funny, I'll be posting the video here for you to witness ( don't mind the angle, it's not the most flattering view of me haha, cori wanted to be "secretive" about her filming, even though she literally put the camera right on the counter. I love this girl! She is just so great, and truly a ray of sunshine! It feels like no time has ever passed between us, and the second I got here, I've felt so at home. Oh! And Cori's mom and grandma are so sweet! Cori's mom baked this absolutely fabulous coffee cake and it looked so beautiful! I told Cori's mom that it was "Uber Gut" which I thought meant "very/extremely good"... haha, not so much. And then Cori and I just walked all over Frankenthal, went to the turkish market and bought 2 of the biggest apples that I've ever seen and together they only cost ,56Euros!!! DELISH! and then I saw Cori's Highschool and met some friends and she showed me this incredible running trail. I love it here!
My German Phrases I learned today:
Ich möchte einen schwarzen kaffee = I would like a black coffee
Ich muss pi-pi = I have to pee!
Ich bin glücklich! = I am happy!
Ich bin Damen = ( well we went to the bathroom at the rest. in mannheim and it said "damen" on the door so I was all proud and turned to Cori and said Ich bin Damen---which translates to "I am women" haha
Ja, Ich weiß -yea, I know
...and some other random things.
Oh! also saw a reallz hot guy at that restraunt and we got free haribou gummy bears. Cori is always saying " AWESOME BLOSSOM" and it just makes me so happy.
