Über Geil

Ja, Ja. today was Über Geil! Woke up and went for quite a lovely run on our rainy day. Ran all throughout Frankenthal and I found this village filled with gardens and lots of goats! I thought that was the highlight of my day, wow, that was only the beginning. haha. Cori and I drove out to Mannheim again and went out to her sister, Francesca's, apartment and played with her kids. we went out to Ikea together in Frankfurt. it was soo fun and just über great. Then we went back to Mannheim to do some city shopping. so fun!Cori and I were both suffering from buyers remorse earlier today, but the we just had like 2hrs of fun playing dress-up.Haha. we are pretty pumped about everything. After shopping we went to Dirmstein to visit Sebastian, one Über cool german, and Cori and I pretty much recruited him to SCAD! YAY!! so cool. After that I drove Cori's Über awesome\tiny european car through the village to her boyfriends house ( Philipp.) and then we went on a midnight adventure through a few villages by foot. it was beautiful. First we crossed over these incredible train tracks, and walked throughan apple orchard, and then we came to the Freinsheim village which literally looked like a castle. and we walked throughout its winding cobblestone streets. It was so amazing! I've never seen a little city so unique. We are planning on going back in the day time when we can go to a cafe and enjoy our hot coffee in this cold weather. It's beautiful here, everything about it. And then on our way back Cori and I decided that there was no better time then at that moment to lie down inthe middle of the apple orchard to just catch up on all of our girl talk. :)
The sky was so clear tonight, we could see every star and we were talking about two summers ago and shooting stars and as we said that I saw 2 shooting stars race across the night sky. We felt so small. It reminds me of that summer... that was right after Stacey was taken from us, and it just brought so many mixed feelings back to me. But all-in-all, it brought back comfort, because as hard as that summer was and as hard as those memories are, I just remember how present God was in my life, and how he held my hand through it all. He also blessed me by bringing Cori home that summer, and this girl is such a light to be around. Being here with her again- it's just the greatest gift. Together, life is just one grand adventure right after the other. Tonight was incredible. The people I met, the places I saw, the laughs we shared- this is by far the greatest summer I have ever had! Right now, my life is Über-geil, and I have so many to thank for that!!! Danke!
